2017 OSKI Scholars

Edward Yang

Edward Yang is a freshman at UC Berkeley majoring in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research. He was born and raised in Seattle, WA and is excited to be representing his beloved PNW as an Out-of-State Key Inclusion Scholar at Cal! Some of his interests include philanthropy, music, entrepreneurship, technology, cooking, energy, and nature. Go Bears!

Belinda Hu

Belinda is a UC transfer student. She is from China and went to high school in Michigan. She is currently pursuing a BA degree in Economics and is an intended minor in Public Policy. Belinda is also involved with the Undergraduate Research Program and is working with a well-known professor from the Sociology department. She has been part of several honor societies, as well as various community service projects. Her greatest aspiration is to help other future transfer students adjust to life at Cal.

Inaara Muhammad

Inaara is a freshman from Dallas, Texas. She is interested in pursuing business and is also considering a minor in Global Poverty and Practice. When she’s not craving Whataburger or adventuring to find local dessert shops, Inaara likes to write, travel, and volunteer. Aside from being an OSKI scholar and a CASA Alumni Engagement Coordinator, she also works with Jumpstart, a head start program serving pre-schools in Berkeley and Oakland. As an OSKI scholar, she hopes to build new connections within CASA, and looks forward to creating new resources and opportunities for both Cal students and the broader Berkeley community.

Riley Odom

Riley is a first-year from Montana and plans on majoring in political economy and minoring in Spanish. Giving back is something she loves to do and hopes that she can accomplish that as an OSKI scholar.

Angelica Pan

Angelica is a first-year EECS major. She grew up in Indonesia and she’s so excited to be back here in the US. In her spare time, she loves taking walks and exploring, spending time with family and friends, trying new food, art, and volunteering! As an OSKI scholar, Angelica is really excited to meet and reach out to other out-of-state students and work on projects together with the CASA family!
