Welcome to the Overnight Stay Program
Congratulations and welcome to the Overnight Stay Program by the Cal Alumni Student Association! Now that you’re coming to OSP, it’s time to get you prepared for your arrival in Berkeley.
For students who purchased a non–overnight ticket and parents, we offer hotel accommodations at pre–negotiated, discounted rates.
In an effort to reduce our paper waste, we are offering the program schedule with a comprehensive overview of OSP on our website. This has all the information you will need to attend OSP, but you will be with your Group Leader during the entire program, so don’t worry
What to Bring With You
- Photo identification to enter residence halls. This is absolutely required for all guests.
- Sleeping bag and pillow (for overnight guests)
- Flip flops or shower shoes
- Personal medication and insurance cards
- Comfortable shoes
- Casual clothing
- Light jacket
- Umbrella in case it rains
- Extra spending money for souvenirs, snacks, etc. (optional)
- OSP students will receive a t-shirt, a bag, and water bottle.
A Note About Overnight Stays
Berkeley students in University residence halls have volunteered their space and time to host OSP students in their rooms. We kindly ask that you respect their space. In addition, students staying overnight will have to sleep on the floor with their own sleeping bag or blanket.
About the Cal Alumni Student Association
CASA is an independent student organization, sponsored by the Cal Alumni Association. We are the flagship group on campus, connecting students & alumni.
Get Connected with Fellow Golden Bears
You can start connecting with your fellow OSP participants as well as our staff members now by joining the Overnight Stay Program 2019 Facebook group! You can use this group to find friends, roommates (for your first year at Berkeley), and more!
You will be traveling around campus quite a bit with your Group Leader, but if at any time you get separated, you can use this map to locate OSP events. It has all of the locations of OSP events, fun places to see after OSP, class visitation locations, and more!
If you need walking directions around campus, we recommend using Google Maps. All campus locations are available on Google Maps.
Please visit the City of Berkeley website for more information about parking. Please note that all garages close overnight, so please check signs to ensure that you have access to your vehicle if you need it.
If you still have questions about OSP, please read our FAQs.
